Participating companies commit to hiring at least one student from Michigan Tech annually for an internship/co-op position for a minimum of three consecutive months. Additional or longer duration internships/co-ops may be offered by the company, as desired. The student selection will be made by the partnering company. If desired, RTP offers assistance with identifying potential candidates.

If a company decides to join the SIR partner program, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the partnering company and the RTP will be signed. The MOU is valid for an academic year and will be automatically renewed for the following academic year unless a written statement by either party is delivered to end the partnership.
